Public Private Dialogue

“Around 40 per cent of the Afghan population are underemployed or unemployed, and women are worst affected” is what Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH states on its’ project website. In the framework of the GIZ project Sustainable economic development and employment promotion in Afghanistan (SEDEP) madiba experts therefore supported managing staff of the Afghan Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) by conducting trainings on Public Private Dialogue (PPD) in 2017.

Some months later additional training was offered to leading civil society organizations as well. These activities aimed to increase the visibility and legitimacy of the Afghan state and strengthens mutual trust among relevant civil society organizations. Therefore, not only PPD was fostered, but knowledge exchange was included aiming to improve the quality in the poultry and dairy industry in Afghanistan too.
