The "Cooperation and Management of Teams" course is an online training programme aimed at employees of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), who provide technical guidance and management in an international team without disciplinary authority. Through these trainings, carried out on behalf of the Academy for International Cooperation (AIZ), madiba is helping the GIZ with supporting both people and societies in various countries in both developing their own prospects and improving their living conditions.
The Academy is GIZ's training centre for the promotion of key qualifications in international cooperation. Its core competence lies in the optimised design of learning processes for both experts and managers. Its mission centres on international education and information work as the basis for developing the skills of key players in regional and global development as well as change processes.
The workshop covers a comprehensive range of topics designed to equip participants with the necessary skills for effective team management. Thereby, the training content includes the principles of professional coordination, focusing on key success factors such as role clarity, communication, commitment, decision making, and trust. Participants will explore personal and systemic challenges and opportunities, gaining insights into managing these aspects effectively. The workshop also introduces the Cynefin Framework, a tool for understanding and navigating complex situations. Fundamentals of team development are addressed, along with strategies for the coordination and management of joint work processes.
