"Support to the Government on the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda"

In 2015, Moldova, together with 192 other Member States of the United Nations, committed to implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. On behalf of the BMZ, GIZ implements a technical cooperation project to improve capacities and processes of public, private and civil society stakeholders for implementing the 2030 Agenda.

The project aims at building the capacities of central and regional administration as well as NGOs by providing organisational support and trainings. Moreover, six innovative small-scale projects have been set up to reach that goal.

Three cross-cutting outputs have been identified:

1. Improving capacities and processes for integrating the National Development Strategy “Moldova 2030” in selected sectors

2. Strengthening capacities of stakeholders to monitor the SDGs and “Moldova 2030”

3. Innovatively and effectively Implementing selected priorities of the “Moldova 2023”

The assignment concerned output 3 and the successful implementation of the six small-scale projects.

Madiba Consult conceptualised and integrated a Monitoring & Evaluation framework that combined the logic of the small-scale projects with the logical framework (theory of change) of the overall project. Furthermore, madiba provided advise on monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, and worked on a concept for sustainability and mainstreaming of small-scale projects.
